Rendered from the Void - Beau Guenther & Luka Eriksen

Exhibition Dates: March 10th 2024 — May 14th 2024

At its core, our artistic practice is an act of total submission to the collective and individual subconscious. It evades intellectual self-censorship, and allows us a purer insight into the forces that influence who we are. By subverting intellect and intent we create pieces which, upon completion, are baffling even to ourselves. This action tears us apart and bares all from the Sublime, Divine, and Beautiful, to the ignorant, Dark, and shameful. Indiscriminately, it shares both our highest aspirations for ourselves, and aspects of self we might rather not share if our art allowed us to make such choices. Each piece, then, serves as a visual language for that which cannot be otherwise described, implying varying degrees of narrative, allegory, or personal theology.

It is our firmly held belief that all acts of creation delve into and extract from the same cloud of collective imagination. They force the creative to consider the vast interdependence of all particular things, defying the notion of self and other. As these lines become blurred, outside becomes in and inside becomes out. We enter a state of absolute reciprocity with the universe and pierce the illusion of self, if only for a brief, eternal moment. It is this moment that we work for, and it is this moment that we sincerely hope to share with our work.
